Recently we've been getting a ton of email requesting truly competitive mixed wrestling matches. So, being a 31-year-old company, largely driven by customer satisfaction, we set out to find 2 competitors we felt could match up well and give fans of Utopia what they really want, no-holds-barred competitive mixed wrestling! The last time we were in Vegas, we rented a wrestling facility and brought in 5'7" 135lbs. Bianca Blance from Italy, to wrestle against 5'9" 160 lbs. Flavio from Brazil. Both Flavio and Bianca are very well known in wresting circles, however, what a lot of people don't know is, Flavio is quite accomplished in BJJ, but doesn't always get to show his skills, because he's largely being hired as a tough, scissorhold, jobber. All that said, UTCS-207, Truly Competitive - Bianca vs Flavio lived up to, and exceeded all expectations. After the introductions, it's an intense grappling contest for the first 5.5 minutes with both competitors struggling to gain the advantage. To the spectators on hand, it seems like Bianca (wrestling topless) is mostly in control. That all changes in a flash, when Bianca makes a critical mistake and Flavio takes her back. He has a body triangle locked in on her and he is working for a rear naked choke. For the next minute or so it appears that Bianca has finally met her match, however it wasn't meant to be, as Bianca keeps her chin down tight to her chest, thwarting his choke attempt, and then methodically works to pry his arms apart. We were super lucky to cross paths, meet and shoot with ultra-fine NPC Figure Competitor and Catfighter Sunni Ray in a recent trip to Pittsburgh. This clip starring Maria Queen is very unique for Utopia for a few reasons. 1) We were in one of the most confined spaces we've ever shot, and 2) Maria insisted on grappling competitively. 3) Because of the first two reasons this became one of the most dangerous videos we've ever shot. How we avoided serious injury is a miracle and why Nick continues to shoot with us after this trouncing, is a total mystery. When we first arrived at Maria's hotel to shoot UTCS-110, Maria Queen Holds Court, and saw the tiny space she was doing sessions in, we suggested wrestling on the king size bed. Nick was all about it, but Maria insisted we use the mats or we had no shoot. She wanted to be portrayed as the serious grappler the is, or as a wrestling dominatrix (that video is coming later this year) but no cheesy role-plays or any other such nonsense. Maria is a purple belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, but also has training in both Boxing and Muay Thai. She loves to mix it up and is single minded of purpose ... tap her opponent out with bruising scissors, brutal joint locks, or crushing chokeholds as quickly as humanly possible. Dominick saw our last video with Hollie where she knocked Glenn around, and somehow comes to the conclusion that he wanted a piece of her too. So when Hollie came to Pittsburgh we drove down to se her and arranged this match. This is truly in the category of "Be careful what you wish for," because after absorbing several mean body shots that would have felled a trucker, Hollie rang Dominick up with a few well placed blows to the head and he was "out on his feet." Hollie wasted no time taking him to the mat where she submits him with a few vicious scissorholds. In round 2 it's more of the same, but this time Hollie knocked Dominick to the mat for a 10 count. She was merciful and let him rest for a few, before coming back for round 3, mat wrestling. Dominick has just had the stuffing knocked out of him and Hollie takes advantage. She may be diminutive in size, but her strength, skill and stamina are world class. It's all Dominick can do to mount a defense against Hollie's non-stop assault, but alas this day and match belongs to Hollie! In UTCS-97, New Owner Get's Owned beautiful wrestler extraordinaire, Dez Desire,is working on a few moves in the wrestling ring, dressed in her trademark black, cut-out, thong, monokini. The new owner of the gym walks in and rudely tells her he has converted the gym to a male only facility, and now she must get out. Dez protests leading to a confrontation and challenge. If she wins, he has to keep the gym open to females, and also hire a female coach and start a women's only wrestling class. However, if he wins, she is history. Cocky Derrick tosses in one incentive, saying he'll hire Dez as the coach if she wins. Match on! As you would expect from Dez, weighing in at 5'10" and 165lbs., with years of intense wrestling and grappling training, she dominates from start to finish.
